Nottingham’s The Island Quarter

What is it?

1,600 new homes / 20 restaurants, bars and cafés / 6,000 office jobs / 36 acres reimagined

“What is ‘The Island Quarter’ and where is it?”

It’s right behind Bio City, Nottingham BBC, a stone’s throw from Sneinton and a slingshot from the Lace Market.

It’s a new urban development from international architecture firm Leonard Design Architects and placemaking specialists Studio Egret West where they are reimagining 36 acres of old car park space and dead ground to draw in nature and create a new, verdant destination in the heart of a city.

It will feature abundant green spaces and multi-functional public areas, the revised masterplan delivers plans for a place where people can live, work and spend time following on from the global pandemic.

Here’s some info.
