Fright Years
Fright Years are an Edinburgh-based band creating music that’s both emotionally charged and cinematic, with each song telling a story layered with depth and feeling. Formed after a serendipitous meeting between vocalist Jules Kelly and guitarist Harrison MacLeod-Bonnar at Edinburgh Art College, the band’s lineup solidified with the addition of bassist Christopher Jamieson and drummer Struan Blacklock.
Since their inception, Fright Years have captured attention across the UK, with early releases gaining airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing Scotland, and mentions in publications like Clash and The Line of Best Fit. Their track Let Me Down even made it to #35 in The Herald's "Top 100 Songs from Scotland in 2023."
2024 has been a pivotal year for the band, with the release of three singles and continued buzz around their sound. Their newest single Stars is out now.
With their first-ever headline show booked at Sneaky Pete's on 7th February 2025, the show will showcase work recorded with Theo Verney (known for his work with English Teacher and Lime Garden).
Fright Years continue their journey in becoming one of the most exciting new acts to emerge from Scotland.
